All types of paid advertising are referred to as paid media. This term is always used when providers make communication channels available to advertising customers in return for payment.

Paid media includes not only the digital sector, but also advertisements in print media, on posters or on television.

 

Paid Search

Paid search refers to the provision of advertisements in the top half of a search engine’s search results.

Advertisers pay for ads to be displayed next to the search results for users searching for certain keywords.

 

Paid Social

Paid social describes paid advertising exclusively on social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and others. Here, advertisers pay to display content on these channels to target groups who may be interested in it and could become potential new customers.
